MK 677, also called Ibutamoren, is a substance that makes the body produce more growth hormones by acting on the pituitary gland. Even though it's sometimes grouped with other SARMs, it's not a peptide but a spiropiperidine, which means it can cross the blood-brain barrier. Unlike Ghrelin, it's not a peptide. It's known to increase IGF-1 levels for 24 hours after just one dose, unlike other compounds like GHRP-2 and GHRP-6. Since it doesn't work like Testosterone or other anabolic compounds, it's believed that MK677 can improve body composition without affecting natural androgen secretion. MK677 is part of a new wave of compounds sparking research interest. Because of its promising results in animal studies, it's now being sold as a medical research compound.
